NEC Overview and Definitions – NEC overview gives a broad overview of how the NEC is formatted. Chapters 1-4 cover general requirements, Chapters 5-7 supplement or modify Chapters 1-7. And Chapter 8 covers Communication Systems. Also discussed are several Tables and Informative Annexes.
Article 100 Definitions – Many common Article 100 Definitions are addressed which are important to understand in order to grasp the basic concepts of the NEC.

Sizing overcurrent devices rated 800 amperes or less and sizing overcurrent devices rated over 800 amperes, as well as the conductors are discussed.
Conduit and Tubing Fill including Nipples and Metal Wireways – Conduit and Tubing Fill covers conductor fill based on Tables 1, 4, 5, and 5A of Chapter 9 and Informative Annex C. Also discussed is conductor fill for various types of nipples, as well as Metal Wireways.
Sizing Junction Boxes – Sizing Junction Boxes illustrates how to szie junction boxes that contain conductors ranging in size from 18 AWG through 6 AWG.

NEC Grounding & Bonding and Transformers – Article 100 Definitions that apply to grounding and bonding are clarified and illustrated. Sizing grounding electrode conductors for grounded ac services and separately derived systems and the various grounding electrodes, sizing main and system bonding jumpers, equipment bonding jumpers and equipment grounding conductors are also discussed.
Motors – Conductors are sized for various types of motors, including multiple motor applications, as well as short-circuit and ground-fault protection.
Generator, Welder, and Transformer Calculations – The sizing of conductors for generators and single and multiple welders are explained. Transformer formulas and calculations are also illustrated.
Miscellaneous Commercial Calculations – Miscellaneous commercial calculations include general-purpose receptacles, fixed multioutlet assemblies, HVAC loads, and sign circuits.
